Fundraising culminates each year with the Jordan & Kyra Memorial Golf Tournament in Northern California, an event that has evolved into one of the country’s most successful charity golf events. During the past 22 years, AGF Ambassadors and annual tournament proceeds have helped the Foundation raise more than $3.4 million to fund the cutting-edge research that is being conducted by Dr. Mark Israel, MD at Dartmouth University’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center, aimed at eradicating brain tumors and other forms of pediatric cancers as life-threatening illnesses. Funds also support Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services, a Northern California-based non-profit dedicated to providing compassionate family-centered care that addresses the emotional, practical and financial struggles experienced by the families of children during treatment, families with anticipatory grief, and those who are bereaved. The Jordan & Kyra Foundation also supports San Francisco-based Family House, a non-profit “home-away-from-home” for the families of children undergoing cancer treatment at University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center.
