AGF Ambassadors
Ambassadors are the heart and soul of the American Golf Foundation. They play a critical role in helping the Foundation achieve its mission to promote the game of golf and its ideals through charity, education and community service by volunteering their time both at the host golf course and in the community. From welcoming golfers on the first tee and helping them become acclimated to the course, to educating them on golf etiquette, rules, safety and pace of play, AGF Ambassadors serve as an advocate for golfers and help them more fully enjoy the golfing experience.
AGF Ambassadors bring diverse skills, backgrounds, experience and perspective to the Foundation, but are united by their mutual passion for golf and for giving back to their communities. Along the way, AGF Ambassadors share a close-knit camaraderie and form lifelong friendships. For many, fellow AGF Ambassadors serve as a “family away from home.”
From children’s hospitals and veterans program to educational and youth mentoring programs, AGF Ambassadors devote their time and energy to helping those in need by conducting various golf-inspired fundraising activities. AGF Ambassadors also fundraise for national disaster/crisis relief initiatives as the need arises.
AGF Ambassadors also help make golf accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds through their support of player development programs for inner-city youths, disabled veterans, seniors and others.
If you are interested in becoming an AGF Ambassador, inquire with the American Golf-operated golf course near you to see if they have an AGF Ambassador program and if they are currently seeking new Ambassadors. The application, interview, pre-screening and acceptance procedures are all handled at the course level. View a list of AGF Ambassador host courses.
